Where do all the impurities and sediment in the chiller come from?

Chiller is a cooling water equipment, can provide constant temperature, constant current, constant pressure of chilled water. Its working principle is to inject a certain amount of water into the internal water tank of the machine first, cool the water through the refrigeration system, and then send the chilled water to the equipment by the pump. After the cold water takes away the heat from the equipment, the water temperature rises and then returns to the water tank. However, However, in the long time use of chiller, there are often some dirt deposits in the pipe or water tank of the chiller. Where do these sediments come from?

1.   Chemical agent

If zinc salt or phosphate corrosion inhibitor is added to water circulation system, crystalline zinc or phosphate scale will be formed. Therefore, we need to maintain the water chiller frequently. This can not only ensure its refrigeration capacity, but also extend the service life of the chiller.

2.   Leakage of process medium

Oil leaks or leaks of some organic matter cause deposition of silt.

3.Water quality

Untreated supplementary water will bring sediment, microorganisms and suspended substances into the water chiller. Even the well-clarified, filtered and sterilized supplementary water will have certain turbidity and a small amount of impurities. It is also possible to leave the hydrolyzed product of the mixture in the supplementary water during the clarification process. In addition, no matter whether it is pretreated or not, dissolved salts in the replenishment will be carried into the circulating water system, and eventually deposit and form dirt.

4.Atmosphere

Silt, dust, microorganisms and their spores can be brought into the circulation system by the air, and sometimes by insects, causing clogging of the heat exchanger. When the environment around the cooling tower is polluted, corrosive gases such as hydrogen sulfide, chlorine dioxide and ammonia will react in the unit and indirectly cause deposition.
